The Family & the Vision

We are a family who fell in love with a castle.

When we first saw 211 South Main Street, we saw what everyone sees: a remarkable building in rough shape, at the top of a hill, hidden from the road. But the more we learned—about the land, the architecture, the layers of history beneath the surface—the more we understood that this wasn’t just a house to fix up. It was a landscape to restore, a story to continue, and eventually, a place to share.

A place to share

Our plan is to bring the castle back to structural health, preserve its original character, and open it for carefully chosen uses: private overnight stays, intimate ceremonies, immersive experiences, and photography. We want the castle to be known not for what it lost, but for what it becomes.

Hilltop Castle is a family project. We live on the South Shore. We are doing this because we believe a place like this deserves to exist—and to be visited.

Follow the journey

The castle has attracted its share of curious visitors over the years—some drawn by the architecture, some by the rumors. We can’t speak to what anyone found in the dark. But we can say the only spirits we’re raising now are the ones that come from restoring eight fireplaces.

The restoration is underway. We’re documenting every step.
